Get Windows 10 Icon Appears on Desktops

Do you have a Windows 7 or Windows 8.x machine? Have you seen something suspiciously like malware appear on your taskbar? Fret not…it’s legit! Honest!

Windows OS users across the globe have started to see a new icon delivered to the notification trays of Windows 7 and 8.x desktops, suggesting they “Get Windows 10”. Despite this looking suspiciously like a phishing scam, it is a legitimate link.

The icon links to an application allowing users to reserve their free Windows 10 upgrade whilst also detailing a number of features you can expect from Windows 10.

When will this upgrade happen? The rumour mill suggests a July release.

Will you be reserving your copy of Windows 10 based on what’s been reported already?
