Overview

This. Is. Gorgeous. The Lypertek Charging Pad just screams premium. It comes packaged minimally with only the USB Type-C power cable, and a quick start guide in tow. It sits less and 1cm high with a surface diameter of 10cm. There’s the now trademark Lypertek fabric finish, with a heavy metal base with rubberised feet. The only addition is a notification LED which will shine Red when powered on, and Blue when charging a device

If connected to a Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 charger, you can expect wireless fast charging at 15w.

Performance & Use

On the surface, it’s a Qi charging pad and it works. So tick the box I suppose? It’s more than that though. As much as a £5 Casio watch will tell the time, people still spend thousands on essentially the same functional use, but in a more sleek, refined design. That’s exactly the same premise here, minus the extortionate price hike.

The Lypertek Charging Pad can deliver 15W charging and is perfect if, like me, you have wireless charging enabled devices, such as the Lypertek Pureplay Z3 2.0 (for example). Pop your device on and away you go.

The pad is very good at searching out the charging spot. No more putting the device down and wiggling until you find the sweet spot. The Lypertek logo guides the way – pop it down atop that and you’ll be good.

In my testing, I found that both TWS buds and mobile phones charged speedily (enough) without getting excessively warm too which is sometimes a concern.

Final Thoughts

For £25 you can’t go wrong. If you don’t already own a Qi wireless charging pad, you should plump for one, and Lypertek’s offering is compelling. It performs wonderfully, if not as fast as some recent pads launched with smartphones. Equally wonderful is the design. Sleek, clean, well built – it’s great!

Short and sweet, I know, but why waste time. Go for it!
