I like organisation. I’m the sort of guy to read that Oddly Satisfying subreddit and feel a happy tingle! Consolidation is something I’ve long sought in my technology and the ChargeTree Go looks like it might just find a place on my desk for that reason alone.
- Compact device
- Decent charging speeds
- No tilt stage options

Overview
STM Goods are widely known to deliver quality mobile technology peripherals such as chargers and power banks, laptop sleeves, and dongles, but the ChargeTree Go is fairly unique in its portfolio. This is the standard ChargeTree Go, although they do offer a ChargeTree Swing where the watch portion of the charging station can be docked out of sight in a more rudimentary fashion and as such is a cheaper option.
The device comes flat but transforms into a stand-by flipping up. There are rubber pads on the bottom of the device to stop slipping. On the right side of the device is the Watch charging pad, which is initially docked. further down the right-hand edge is the USB Type-C charging port. This needs to be connected to a wall device which sadly does not come included.
Once flipped out into the stand formation, a rubber pad behind the stand is revealed for AirPod docking, as well as another pad on the front side to stop smartphones from slipping.
The ChargeTree Go is available in both Black and White colour variants.

Performance & Use
On paper, this has everything I would want from a charger, despite not being an Apple iPhone user. My Android device has Qi charging so that’s item 1 down. I have some earbuds with a Qi charging case, so item 2 is covered. What I don’t have is a Qi charging watch any longer. As the song goes, “2 out of 3 ain’t bad”.
The ChargeTree Go has a rubberised plastic finish which is designed to stop all of the devices from being scratched or slipping, and the additional anti-slip pads at the charging points aid that too. What it also manages though is to be a fingerprint and grime magnet – be wary of that and clean!
The device starts flat, undergoes a transformation and becomes a stand, and then ends with a pressurised slot pushing the watch charger out. The transformation has a lovely snapping sound at each point too.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I love consolidation in my tech. I’ve got a desk with a built-in (albeit DIY’ed) Qi Charging mat already but I end up having to choose what I charge between my phones or my earbuds. No longer!
I love the fact that I can use the main charging pad without it looking like I’m only charging one of the three devices I should be charging. It’s a cracking design. One aspect that could be improved is having the ability to tilt the main pad at various angles however that would probably hinder the ability to charge earbuds behind it.
In terms of performance, it does exactly what it says on the tin. I loaded this up as much as I could with a power-hungry smartphone and some earbuds and both charged seamlessly. Incidentally, I also tried a few devices that had battery cases attached that were charged wirelessly and these worked fine too.
At £69 the price might seem a little high for what is essentially three Qi charging coils. Whilst true, the design and the portable nature of it is the reason for the price. Looking at alternatives and there aren’t many, from reputable brands, that can claim to be cheaper.
Final Thoughts
I don’t like fingerprints on my tech, but I’ll forego that here to do away with the need to make choices on what Qi-enabled devices I charge and when. The ChargeTree Go allows me to charge multiple devices, wirelessly, as well as keeping my smartphone in view.
This is well worth a look!
