The Vivo X7 was officially launched on the 7th of July, and they sold over 250,000 units on day one. It doesn’t really matter who you are – but that’s a lot of phones. To put this figure into perspective, LG only sold 1.6 million units of the G5 in the first month. This is again showing that Vivo is growing pretty fast, and the company is seeing an 40% increase in production volume year-over-year.
Over a million people registered for the Vivo X7 in one week, so the sales figures of the subsequent days may just be as high as on the first day. The phone is yours for ¥2,498 ($375), which means that it isn’t extremely cheap, but the mix of decent specifications and the premium design must’ve impressed the Chinese audience. The Vivo X7 was available online through the three largest online retailers in China, and you could get the Vivo X7 in 667 cities across China.
As I said before, the specs are decent but nothing special for the ¥2,498 ($375) price point. The specs are as following:
- 5.2-Inch Full-HD Display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 clocked at 1,8GHz
- 4GB of RAM
- 64GB of Internal storage (+ MicroSD card support)
- 13MP f/2.2 camera at the back
- 16MP f/2.0 front-facing camera
- 3000mAh battery
- Fingerprint scanner
Vivo X7 Plus
Later this month, on July the 15th we’ll see the Vivo X7 Plus with a larger screen, a slightly larger battery and a 16MP shooter at the back. Which one do you prefer, the Vivo X7 or its larger brother? Do let us know in the comments down below.
