Google officially launches Podcasts for Google Play Music

Google announced that podcasts would be added to Google Play Music back in October 2015, and they’ve finally added it.

With the announcement back in October, they made us very excited for the new feature, but then we basically heard nothing about this feature until now. Google started rolling out an app update to the Google Play Music app, and it’s already available on the web. I need to mention though that currently this feature will only be available in the US and Canada. Google didn’t say when or if they’ll bring this feature to Europe, but if they do we’ll make sure to keep you updated.

Google Play Podcasts

Why is this awesome? Well, if you happen to use Google Play Music as your music player of choice, now you can have access to your music library and podcasts all in one place.

Users of dedicated podcast apps may already know how it works. You can search and subscribe to podcasts, download individual podcasts, and get notified when new episodes arrived. But, why are we all excited about this new feature? The reason behind is that if you use Google as your music player already, you’ll now also have it as the go to podcast app.

Are you excited about this new feature as well? Do let us know down below in the comments.
