You may or may not be a budding astronomer, but frankly you can be either and still enjoy the complex simplicity (did I just say that?) of an app like this.
In short Star Walk 2 – Night Sky Guide does exactly what it says in the title. Don’t be clever – of course it doesn’t let you “walk on stars”. What it DOES do is guide you through the Night Sky and gives a lot of information as to what you might be pointing your smartphone towards.

Simply point your device at a specific point in the sky and the built-in compass and the application technology will align the night sky with a map of the stars to help find constellations, specific clusters, information on planets, moon phases and much more.
