Nubia are to ZTE what Honor are to Huawei; a wholly owned subsidiary with the creative license to try to do things just a little bit differently. We got hands on with the Nubia Z11 at IFA 2016
Let’s get straight to it. The Nubia Z11 comes in two variants, the 4GB/64GB internal storage option as well as a 6GB/128GB offering.
Specifications are high end, with a Snapdragon 820 processor being used to power a 5.5″ 1080p IPS display with the now ubiquitous 2.5D curved edges. We say edges, but there simply aren’t any! This is as bezel-less as you can get and is right up there with the Sharp Aquos Crystal unit from 2014 – 81% screen to body ratio to be exact.
On the back, there’s a choice of a standard Gray/Silver option, and a more unique Black/Gold option and staying on the backside there’s a 16MP camera with phase detection auto focus. Flipping to the front the Nubia Z11 delivers an f/2.4 8MP selfie camera.
A USB Type-C, 3000mAh with Quick Charge 3.0, WiFi AC and 4G capabilities are all common to both variants, as is Gorilla Glass 3 protection and the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Nubia UI 4.0.
The Nubia Z11 is available now and sits at €500 for the 4GB/64GB version and €600 for the 6GB/128GB version. check out our hands on for more info.
