If you didn’t know MWC is well underway with almost every manufacture being there and releasing just about everything from phones to tablets. Gionee, a company based in China, are releasing their two new devices; the A1 and the A1 Plus.
The A-series is their main product line in the overseas market (anywhere apart from China), focusing on selfies. William Lu, President of Gionee, said “We have noticed that more and more people are about selfies as an expression of themselves and they tend to share their photos through various social channels when and wherever they are. As a consumer-oriented smartphone manufacturer, we hope to set up the evolution of the selfie experience and give the best portfolio at the best price.” That is definatley something that they working on. This is one of the main areas of focus and it’s clear to see in their offerings.
Another area is in the battery department. With the A1 Plus and A1 packing 4550mAh and 4010mAh batteries respectively. Gionee also mentioned that they will give you an 18W ultra fast charger when purchasing. Couple that with the dual charging chips gives you just 2 hours to wait before your device will be fully charged. A bold claim! They are also focusing on the experience too, packing in MediaTek Helio P25 and P10 chips, 4GB RAM and 64GB on board storage.
